Subscription & Billing
What plans are available?
We offer two premium subscription options, both with a 7-day free trial:
- Monthly: $12.99/month
- Annual: $79.99/year (saves 49%)
Free users can access one practice session per subject per day, plus limited AI Tutor and AI Counselor interactions.
How does the 7-day free trial work?
New subscribers get full access to every premium feature for 7 days at no cost. If you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, you won't be charged. If you don't cancel, your chosen plan begins automatically.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed through Apple. To cancel:
- Open Settings on your iPhone or iPad
- Tap your name at the top (Apple ID)
- Tap Subscriptions
- Select NextGen AI SAT Prep
- Tap Cancel Subscription
You'll retain access until the end of your current billing period. Canceling does not trigger an immediate refund for time already paid.
How do I request a refund?
Since payments are processed by Apple, refunds must be requested through Apple directly. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple ID, find the transaction, and submit your request.
I switched phones. How do I restore my subscription?
Open the App, go to Settings (gear icon), and tap Restore Purchases. Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID you used for the original purchase.
Features & Usage
What do I get with the free version?
Free users receive one practice session per subject (Math and Reading & Writing) per day, limited AI Tutor and AI Counselor interactions, and access to basic progress tracking. Limits reset daily at midnight.
What does premium unlock?
Premium subscribers get unlimited practice sessions, full AI Tutor and AI College Counselor access, full-length and condensed test simulations, the question scanner, flashcards with spaced repetition, detailed score predictions, weekly performance reports, personalized study plans, the mistake notebook, and college match recommendations.
How does the AI Tutor work?
The AI Tutor is a conversational assistant that can explain SAT concepts, walk you through practice problems step-by-step, and answer your study questions. Just type your question in the chat and the tutor will respond with a detailed explanation tailored to your level.
How does the Scan feature work?
The Scan feature lets you photograph any SAT-style question using your device's camera. The AI analyzes the image and provides a detailed explanation and solution. Premium subscribers can scan up to 30 questions per day.
How does adaptive difficulty work?
When enabled in Settings, the App automatically adjusts question difficulty based on your performance — similar to the real Digital SAT. If you answer several questions correctly in a row, difficulty increases. If you're struggling, it provides easier questions to build confidence before ramping back up.
Are the practice questions the same as real SAT questions?
Our questions are designed to closely mirror real Digital SAT format, difficulty, and topics, but they are original content generated for practice purposes. They are not actual College Board exam questions. NextGen AI SAT Prep is not affiliated with the College Board.
Data & Privacy
Is my data stored on your servers?
No. All your study data, progress, scores, and preferences are stored locally on your device. We do not maintain external databases with your personal information. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
What happens to my data if I delete the App?
All locally stored data — including practice history, scores, flashcard progress, and preferences — is permanently deleted when you remove the App from your device. This action cannot be undone. Your subscription status is tied to your Apple ID and can be restored by reinstalling and tapping "Restore Purchases."
Is my AI Tutor conversation private?
Your conversation text is sent to our AI service providers (Google Gemini and Anthropic Claude) to generate responses. No personal identifiers such as your name, email, or device ID are transmitted. Conversation history is stored locally on your device. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Can I reset my progress and start fresh?
Yes. In the App's Settings, you'll find options to reset specific data such as practice history, flashcard progress, and seen questions. You can also delete and reinstall the App to clear everything.
Troubleshooting
The AI Tutor or AI Counselor isn't responding.
These features require an internet connection. Please check that your device is connected to Wi-Fi or cellular data. If the issue persists, the AI service may be temporarily unavailable — try again in a few minutes. The App uses multiple fallback AI models to minimize downtime.
The camera won't open in the Scan feature.
Make sure you've granted camera permission to the App. Go to your device's Settings > NextGen AI SAT Prep > Camera and ensure it's enabled.
My premium features aren't showing after subscribing.
Try these steps:
- Close and reopen the App
- Go to Settings and tap Restore Purchases
- Verify your subscription is active in Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions

The App feels slow or is using a lot of battery.
Make sure you're running the latest version of the App and iOS. If performance issues persist, try restarting your device. If the problem continues, please let us know at support@devappsai.com with details about your device model.
My study streak disappeared.
Streaks require completing at least one practice session per day. If you miss a day and have a streak freeze token, it will be used automatically to preserve your streak. If you don't have a freeze token, the streak resets to zero. Streak data resets daily at midnight (device local time).
